German superyacht builder Lurssen has launched a new 74m superyacht called Aurora. Aurora’s build was commissioned in 2014 and managed by Moran Yacht & Ship. Aurora is powered by twin MTU engines providing a top speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots. She has a beam of more than 13 meters and an interior and exterior designed by Winch Design with accommodations for 16 guests.
Despite still ranking in the world’s top 200 largest yachts upon delivery Aurora is the smallest yacht Lurssen has launched since 2014.
Few other details have been revealed about Aurora up to this point. The owner reportedly sought an ocean-going superyacht that could accommodate large family gatherings and as a result Aurora has a higher interior volume than other yachts in its class.
Aurora is expected to be delivered before the end of 2017.
